Life Keeps Changing

Last year, at a time like this, a pandemic structs us. Very hard that we changed in every aspect. Dining, traveling, walking, talking, dressing, and even thinking all changed. Things kept getting bad, stress crept in, anxiety attacked, and pandemic numbers kept rising. Deaths everywhere, panic and uncertainty, killed businesses, the disease killed humans, and leaders killed their subjects. Preliminary plans and strategies used in the fight against the pandemic made it spread even farther and faster. Healthcare crises began after the disease beat the healthcare systems. Italy started facilitating palliative care as a treatment strategy against the pandemic – saving the healthier citizens’ medical supplies and funds.

Learning became digital, and we started learning again, this time while sitting in the backyard. We were having fun with the latest statuses, seeping juice, and busking in the sun, maybe, taking a swim between classes. Then the digital learning challenges dawned, maintaining the class schedules, submitting assignments, and keeping deadlines. With increasing classes and assignments, the fun kept dying. Always uncertain which class is what time, which assignment was due, and even finding the exam was a challenge. Then life changed again; we get better at digital learning. It gets easier, and I keep learning new ways. We meet virtually, yet we make friends. Certainly, reverting will still be a challenge; digital learning can be fun and practical as well.

Life always keeps changing. A few years back, a pandemic this size was unimaginable. A pandemic that affected the entire human race had been unheard of since the Spanish flu in the early 20th century. The pandemic met the denizens quite unprepared and killed a third. This time, the medical fraternity has tried significantly harder in the fight against this disease. Vaccines have already been manufactured, immunizing the public against the disease. We believe we can defeat the disease and get back the life we miss—Adventures, hikes, and meet-ups with friends.
