Dad: So you're really going to have dancing at your wedding

CJ: Yea dad, its been decided and we already paid for our DJ

Dad: I just don't understand. You know I'm against this

CJ: Yes I know, but dad I've literally respected how you felt about this my whole life. Even if you werent present I would. But this is my wedding

Dad: (silence)

CJ: it's not like we're gonna be playing booty shaking music dad...its gping to be a celebration of family, and love. Just because we're going to be dancing doesn't make us not good christians

Dad: I'm not saying that, but people are watching you two. How do you think they will look at this. Whats going to be the difference between your wedding and everyone else's. We're supposed to be different.

CJ: Okay, but where does it say we cannot dance dad? This is something you feel convicted about and it's like youre trying to make me feel convicted as well but I'm not. And honestly if we're going to be judged for having dancing, then thats sad on their part.

Dad:(silence)
CJ: I'm not expecting you to agree with me or give me the go ahead. All I ask is that you respect our decision and remember I respected your decision while living here.

Dad: I hear you
