On a rainy January 7th night I welcomed in the year of 2020 by celebrating my 28th birthday with friends and family in the heart of NYC, times square. I was excited for what the year had to offer knowing I would be graduating come June 2021, and knowing that marriage was definitely on my mind. I’ve always been the guy who wanted to get married and have a family but I never really knew what that moment would feel like or when I would even know that I was ready to pop the question.

We started dating Nov 1st, 2014 and over the years we have become best friends and have created so many memories. I knew for a very long time that this woman would become my wife, but you could say I was definitely nervous on taking that step. Am I even ready for this? Should I wait until I have a better job or more money saved? Just some of the thoughts running through my mind, and yes, I already had bought the ring in 2018 in case you were wondering. As the year went on and Covid-19 began to escalate I had a moment as I was driving home one afternoon. What’s the point of waiting if both of you are in love? you have both expressed that you want to get married and you know she’s ready; so just ask her already. So that is exactly what I did in September of 2020, and that was the best decision I ever made. Now on Nov 1st, 2021, 7 years after our first date; she will finally be my wife. So yea, sometimes you just have to get out of your own head and just do it because it may just have the best impact on your future.
