Jozelyn Santos, Staceyann Critique

Throughout the whole video, I found myself having wide eyes and saying “WOW.” I love how she mentions the history in the beginning, which created a foundation for the topic she is talking about. The words she uses and her voice show so much emotion that it draws the audience in. I see the passion and emotion she feels about Black women and their greatness. She emphasizes words with her voice that may seem violent but to me it was pure passion and shows the true anger and beliefs she has about the topic. Her body movement also allowed some of the lines she said to come to life. I believe if I just read this poem I would understand it holds a powerful message but hearing her voice and seeing her body movement made it even more powerful.
