Throughout the whole video, I found myself having wide eyes and saying “WOW.” I love how she mentions the history in the beginning, which created a foundation for the topic she is talking about. The words she uses and her voice show so much emotion that it draws the audience in. I see the passion and emotion she feels about Black women and their greatness. She emphasizes words with her voice that may seem violent but to me it was pure passion and shows the true anger and beliefs she has about the topic. Her body movement also allowed some of the lines she said to come to life. I believe if I just read this poem I would understand it holds a powerful message but hearing her voice and seeing her body movement made it even more powerful.

Office Hours: 1 to 2 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation through email each week. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email.

Good evening Jozelyn,
I agree Chin did a great job mentioning the history in the beginning. Also, I wanted to add. The way she mentions how all humans are created equal by including biology factual information was a genius way to get the listener or reader to continue focusing on the points she is trying to make.
