1- âYou Foolish Menâ by Sor Juana Ines Cruz. I liked this poem because it exposes the inequality and injustice of which women are victims through sexsism and discrimination.

2- âTranslation for Mamaâ by Richard Blanco. In this poem the author describes how his mother came to the US to create a new for herself and her family. I enjoy how Blanco honors the bridge between the new identity of his mother and the losses she suffered, in both English and Spanish translations.Â

3-âAccentsâ by Denise Frohman. I like this poem so much because it perfectly describes why spanish accent is so special. She tells us how her mother uses the English language in a very unique way, due to the influence of her mother tongue, Spanish.
4- âThe Road Not Takenâ by Robert Frost . I choose this poem because it presents the metaphor of life as a journey in which the alternatives force us to choose which way to go.
