The genre I’m using for this project is a powerpoint. My audience is anyone interested in learning more about food insecurity. Alongside the power point I will be writing a transcript to follow the slides. I will be using google slides and google doc to complete this assignment.

Class Meetings & Times: in person Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4 – 5:15 PM in Namm 403
Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 – 1:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!

So far the project is going well. I am acting as I am presenting my project and writing down everything I say to put into my transcript. I am working on making the power point captivating but don’t want to take away from the seriousness from the subject. My power point will contain graphs and quick facts for people who are more visual learners. With my transcript I want to use descriptive language as well as time sensitive language.
