The declaration of independence was pronounced on July 4, 1776, and made up of five distinct parts:  the preamble, the body which can be divided into two sections, and a conclusion. It was designed for multiple audiences: The king, the colonists, and the world. It was also designed to multitask. Its goals were to rally the troops, win foreign allies, and announce a new country’s creation. In the declaration of independence, we can see why they mentioned the colonists, debate about freedom, and the government.  They want the British to know and understand the metropolis has been unfair. They considered the declaration of independence as a letter to the British to know the colony wants to be free. This declaration is a call to action; it is about much more than life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Through the text of the declaration of independence, we can see an explanation attached. They want to explain the colonist’s right to revolution. The introduction clearly states that this document will declare the cause that has made it necessary for the American colonies to leave the British Empire. So the declaration of independence is a proposal of a solution. In my view, this document is persuasive; we can see that how Thomas Jefferson uses deductive arguments, which includes an example of wrong British doings, which gives the person reading the document a chance to see exactly they are breaking from the metropolis.

I agree with Randy Barnett in the article Washington post. Through this article, they said that the founders believed making a constitution or government legitimate and how to reconcile fundamental right with the idea of the governed’s consent. Today, the governed undergoes discrimination; the government often does not respect human rights, especially women’s rights. Most men do not consider women like them; they think they are more intelligent than women, then they do not consider women.
