Rayven VanoniMehdi S.The images displayed above immediately captured my attention. Firstly, Rayven’s editing is on point. I love how she not only chose to enhance the colors of the flower to make it pop, but also opted to utilize a black backdrop. The black backdrop efficiently removes any unwanted distractions and allows for the focus to remain on the centerpiece. The vibrancy of the colors in the flower pairs well with the bright white lights being emitted around it. For me personally this image brings a sense of enchantment and nostalgia because it reminds me of the famous rose from the classic fairy tale “Beauty and the Beast.” Overall, this image is visually appealing and nicely highlights the subject. It illustrates a strong example of leading lines, centered composition and eye-level camera angle. On the other hand, Mehdi’s utilization of worm’s-eye view perfectly highlights the beauty of our NYC skyscrapers. This close up shot enables viewers to avert their attention to the unique patterns that the building is composed of. It is evident that the image sharpness, contrast and brightness were conscientiously adjusted to achieve such phenomenal image quality. Additionally, the blue sky and the white clouds reflecting on the elongated building are excellently captured. This image demonstrates a strong example of symmetrical balance, centered composition, worm’s-eye view and close up shot.
