Dawoud bey:

He takes pictures of complex Black subjects to show that there is more to what people think and he uses this to reshape the world by showing other people that there is more to black people then just their skin color.

Carrie mae weems:

She uses her work to represent her voice not just as a black woman but for women in general. She uses her photographs of her kitchen table to represent the social construct of female and male roles and how she speaks against it.

I could find my own voice by taking pictures of the struggles that my country goes through on a daily basis. Majority dont have food to eat and i want to take pictures of these struggles to show my countries voice, and my countries voice is my voice.
