In my research, I learned a lot. I learned that this is a problem all over the world not just in America. Also, almost everyone had the same opinion that I did about this subject being that we need to find a way to teach people about media literacy and have that information available for all economic backgrounds as well. One group of people that disagreed was in the research that I found was the Uk Government saying that the education system doesn’t need any reform whatsoever. Teaching media literacy is important because it helps prevent civilians from being controlled by their respective governments. Another reason why it is an important skill is that misinformation on the internet can potentially be dangerous to you like scamming or hackers taking your personal information.  It may not completely make that problem go away but it should make it happen a lot less often. One group of people that I recommend doing research on this is the younger generation. I know the younger generation can benefit the most because children can be very easily convinced about whatever they’re thought by adults. Whatever they get thought when their kids stick with them for the rest of their lives so we need to teach people about this as early as possible.
