My role for the “Observer’s Arts Power Top 50 List” was photo research and to email the people that were being considered to be included in the article. It was a bit of a challenge in terms of trying to find out who to contact in reference for a photo to use to put in the article and having to wait for a response back. I also had to deal with cropping the photo for the right dimensions for the website and making sure that whoever took the photo of that artist was credited. I had to email 50 people with a little help from photo editor. This process took about two weeks to reach out and receive what we needed. Overall, it was a very interesting experience in terms of what protocols and certain preparation that had to be done in order to reach out to these people.
