“Another important thing to consider before reading is the genre of the text.” This section of the reading helped me understand the importance of finding the genre of the text. The genre will help you better understand how the writer is trying to get their point across. Depending on the words the writer uses you will know if its informative, persuasive etc.
A text can very a lot because of the genre its in and I am glad that this quote reminded me of that.
Reminded me to pay attention to every small detail because if you don’t you could easily lose track of the genre.
Your answer should explain IN YOUR OWN WORDS why knowing the genre is important and how it helps you to read like a writer.
