Reading Response to Malcolm X — (Diogo Garcia).

Part A:

Part B:

“I was so fascinated that I went on–I copied the dictionary’s next
page. And the same experience came when I studied that. With every
succeeding page, I also learned of people and places and events from
history. Actually the dictionary is like a miniature encyclopedia. Finally
the dictionary’s A section had filled a whole tablet–and I went on into the
B’s. That was the way I started copying what eventually became the
entire dictionary.”

For Malcom X, finding the actual holy grail was akin to finding the mythical holy grail. When he stated it, I was so intrigued that I kept going and copied the next page of the dictionary. He had the energy to carry on copying. As he continued to study, he learned more than he had ever learned when he was younger. He is studying the locations, origins, history, and other aspects of the planet. He was undoubtedly wondering in his head how something so small could hold so much data. He saw it as the answer to his problems in life and a way to improve both himself and those around him.
