For my midterm I was planning to do a story about a person applying for college. I will be taking pictures of them applying and the process of waiting for the response.
The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
Interesting idea. One thing I’ll suggest is trying to make it very clear in the photos themselves that it’s a college application. So it might mean shooting some close-up detail shots of an application itself, possibly focusing in on a college name, so that becomes clear to the casual viewer.
You’ll also want to create a nice clear story arc so you don’t end up with too much repetition in the shots. Good luck, I can’t wait to see the results!
