   Your loop example is really more of a Rembrandt. Loop is when the shadow from the nose just touches the cheek, and does not connect and form the triangle under the eye. Also, your broad example, is short. Look at your short example, they are almost the same photo. Broad is when the nearer, broader side of the face is being lit. For example, the light is broad in your split and loop examples.
