My name is Milly Escobar and I’ve lived in Elmhurst New York my entire life. I graduated from Long Island City High School where I was studying Culinary Arts. High school was a long ride but it was definitely one for the books. During high school I always managed to be a good student and receive good grades, I even got my food handlers license during my senior year. In high school I was open to many opportunities, not only was I learning about the food industry but there were always opportunities to gain experience. During my junior year I actually did an internship through ccap and was working at Magnolia Bakery in the summer, it was an amazing experience and it was full of amazing people. Ever since I was 7 years I knew the food industry was perfect for me and when being introduced to the hospitality management major here at city tech I knew that I belonged here. From the beginning of high school up until today there have been many changes that have made me who I am today. Some of my personal strengths would be being responsible, patient, dedicated, respectful and being organized, as well as staying on task. I look forward to my upcoming years here at city tech and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me!
