Bird Viewing – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Lately, my work shifts have been varying between closing and opening shifts. Currently, I am assigned as an opener at one of the kiosks. The first kiosk I opened was Dino-Bites. When opening the kiosk, the first task is to place all the ice cream cups, coffee floats, soda cups, and other items in their designated places. Then, we gather the cheese sauce for the Mickey pretzel and the fudge for the hot fudge sundaes. Next, we set up the small scoop fountain to make scooping the ice cream a bit easier. We also set up the sprinkles for our special Dino Dig ice cream sandwich, which suits the Dino Land theme. Once the iced coffee machine and the beer kegs are open and running, we put the utensils, creamers, and napkins together as soon as the clock hits 10:30 am. Finally, we place the money in the register, and Dino-Bites is ready for service. Initially, one of my colleagues made opening Dino-Bites quick and easy, and at one point, I found myself just standing there waiting to open the windows of the kiosk. But nowadays, I am opening each kiosk and learning the roles little by little. I am getting more familiar with each kiosk, from opening to closing. However, there is always a lot more to learn and explore at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
