Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Disney Park

After my three-day training of hopping around three kiosks, I was shocked at how fast that training was and how there was no specific way of preparing future cast members for this huge opportunity of working at three locations at once sometimes. At first, it wasn’t easy since Disney offers a variety of dining plans, coupons, discounts, and annual pass-holder discounts. From have a million types of payment such as the magic band, key holders, gift cards, dining cards, Disney rewards, etc. which is why when it comes to accepting a form of payment I say “Cash, Card, Magic Band, etc.” that way the payment goes through efficiently or else it ends of me having to start all over again. Or sometimes having to call a coordinator to void a transaction. However, it shows how safe everything is at Disney making sure guests leave happy and satisfied wherever they are at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. As time goes by I know that register is like the back of my hand. Luckily I’m not alone and there are always coordinators and leaders within reach. Giving out change in a quick manner is still my biggest weakness at the moment since I cannot do quick math. Beyond that, my favorite position in the kiosk is the register because it is either one person as a cashier or another as a cook/filler. Making everything work smoothly in a professional manner. I’m still learning more as the days go by!
