Finally we are  at the end of this semester. Can’t believe how fast it went by . Through the semester in our English class , I feel like I learned a lot and grew a lot as a writer and reader.Completing the 3 projects was like a rollercoaster ride just like how my first semester of college went. Each one of the projects has different tasks and different purposes.  I’m not a good writer,I’ve never been one when it comes to writing e but coming across these projects made me realize that you don’t need to be perfect at writing .The most important thing is how well you can express your ideas.  was able to reflect on the projects at the end. I was a bit nervous when I thought about taking a college level English class because I thought I wouldn’t make it to the end since I’m not really confident when I write.

This course turned out to be way different than what I imagined in my head. I thought we would like to write essays every two weeks, read books and summarize them or make projects about it. When I first saw we would work on 3 projects the whole semester, I was surprised by how much of a little work it was and I felt really confident and excited to explore each one of them . The readings we read in class were definitely a guide to the projects .For example when we worked on project 1, as a class we explored different ways you can write and different techniques you can apply to finish and revise it.Each project had different meanings. For Project #1 we were assigned to write our own educational narrative, for project #2 we had to find a topic we want to write about and passionate about it and for project #3 it was basically the same context as project 2 but you just had to reach your audience in a different genre and text which was cool .

Looking back at Project #1 which was  about “Educational Narrative” which had anything to do with your education, whether it would be a problem you faced and how you overcame that.So I decided to write about how Covid affected my education which was quite fun and was interesting . I had to make several final revisions. Talking it through with my professor helped me a lot because she suggested and gave me ideas to fix and add stuff ,which I found was very helpful .

Now for Project #2 It was a way different project than the first one . For project #2, we had to do research to write an annotated bibliography . I was overwhelmed because I didn’t even know how to and where to start writing . In fact it was my first time writing an annotated bibliography . But we had plenty of time to figure out the topic we wanted to write about and plenty of time to write and research  about the topic. For me finding the right topic wasa bit struggle but after some time I decided to do a research about how sexism affects flight attendants , i was very passionate to learn about my topic because being a flight attendant has always been my dream job and that i why i chose the topic because i wanted to explore more about the industry’s dark side.

Finally , our last project. I would say that Project 3 was a lot easier than I thought it would be. The process was very direct since all we had to do was compose a new genre/text to reach your audience. I tried my very best to convey that message through a written interview.

One thing that was very challenging for me was the time management and another would be choosing topics and not knowing where to start. As I said , I struggled a lot with the topics because if you don’t have a topic then you are stuck and most likely don’t even know what to write about .But I think  our class discussions made things go smoothly because we had time to discuss and share our ideas and beliefs . If someone was stuck we tried to come up with topics to help each other . Also talking with my professor after class made it much easier because she guided me how to start and shared her own ideas and it was very helpful .  I wish someone would’ve told me to use my time wisely instead of waiting until the last moment to complete just like I’m doing right now. I feel like if i used that time wisely i would have maybe had more time to work on my projects a little more and have time to make final revisions and improvements.Overall this course definitely improved my writing skills which will benefit me in the future assignments .
