Black & Latinx Transgender Solidarity Day

4:00 pm Community building activity (Library Building, 1st Floor Lobby)
5:00 pm Candlelight vigil (Atrium Courtyard)

Join African American Studies and Gender & Sexuality Studies in an
evening of solidarity, community, and remembrance as we honor the
lives of the Black and Latinx victims of gender-related hate crimes.
We will share some food together while we create T-shirts, buttons,
and other memorabilia to honor the Black and Latinx transgender
community members we have lost over the past year. We will end
the evening with a candlelight vigil and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge.

This event is free and open to all with a CUNY ID and a Cleared4 pass
