Develops active respect towards differences in perspectives, experiences, values, and history within a critical framework for understanding mechanisms of oppression and structural forms of power and privilege. Examines the interconnections with groups who have a shared history of oppression. Emphasis is on marginalized groups, race, and gender equity, and change strategies to promote social justice.
