The genre that I have chosen to do this assignment in is video. The reason as to why I feel this genre is both appropriate and effective for presenting my information is because with a video, I can provide both images and audio into a digestible medium. This can help relay my message because I can convey the severity of it by adjusting the tone. With my piece, I hope to inform the viewers.
Some elements and features to the genre that I have selected are said audio and images. The audio will come from my narration, as well as music that can help reflect the intensity as well as the severity of this situation. When I want the audience to feel a more relaxed or focused mood, my wording as well as audio and visuals will reflect my intentions.
I will go about composing my piece using video editing software on my computer that I both have and is proficient at using. Information that I will include in my final product will be relevant information related to my topic on reversing global warming. Inside the video my sources will be cited. The video will be organized by proposing a question (“Can climate change be reversed?”, conveying different viewpoints on said question, relaying the actual information that has been gathered by credible sources, then establishing a call to action, leaving the viewers feeling informed as well as hopefully motivated.
This sounds great. But–Do you have a sample you are analyzing and working from? Will this be a YouTube video? Another kind of video? And, what are common elements of the type of video you are producing.?
