Tyhe genre i have selected for my piece would be a blog, but in the format of the Instagram app. Instagram is used by most people, people share their stories and political views as well. Being that my discourse community is younger, social media plays a large role in our lifestyle. The use of this format will catch their attention, and allow them to relate in a way through illustrations. Through my piece i hope to convey the idea of the importance of mass incarceration and the causes of it, while also raising awareness and how they can spread the message through the power of the media.
- The length would be about 10 pages, being that i have to make a profile, posts, and “Insta Stories”, as well as other aspects to get the full effect.
- This would be constructed with the use of various editing apps, even google docs to insert shapes and other aspects.
- My tone would conversational, giving a feel as though someone is making a normal post and providing information.
