Educational Narrative Final draft

All across America students have many different experiences with their Education some are good, and some bad, but I believe through these experiences we become better students and better humans. Today I am going to be writing about three educationalĀ  experiences that were defining points in my educational journey.

My first Educational mishap comes at the end of 5th grade towards graduation, during elementary school I was a bad student I didn’t really care about school or how I was doing I just went cause it was fun, but I’m not all to blame looking back in hindsight my school had many problems with teaching, and creating a productive school environment where kid felt safe to learn. This behavioral pattern continued all through elementary so around may where many students began receiving letters of acceptance from middle schools I got worried because its been month since I submit my documents to the middle schools and I haven’t herd anything back, I wasn’t completely distraught because people were still getting letters from the schools I wanted to attend so I thought there was hope. Days before graduation I finally receive a letter from a school I was angry because the letter didn’t come from neither of the schools I applied to, but in my mind I remained calmed because this school could of been a blessing in disguise but turned out it was the complete oppositeĀ  the school I got accepted to was horrible they had low test score, low graduation rate, and after doing some research we(my mother an I) found out that this school was know for fighting and even had no windows like a prison. This was a very low point in my academic career but it was also a wake up call to focus on school more and maybe I would of attended a school of my choice, luckily after panicking the whole summer about what middle school I was attending my Aunt recommended me to a Catholic School which would change my life for the better.

A major moment in my Education that impacted who’ve I became was In middle school. Through ought middle school I had a rough time adapting to my new environment both culturally and academically this caused some struggles in my education because I was trying my hardest but never gained the results I wanted. During eighth I began trending in the right direction with my education forĀ  I was improving in math my most challenging subject and building better student behavior like participating in class, handing in homework, and getting in less trouble. In my school there were these quarterly ceremonies where they awarded students for their great work from grades k-8 I had never one any award in my two years of being there, I hoped to achieve honor roll with the work I was doing but that was farfetched in my mind. Fast forward days before the new quarter my teacherĀ  pulled me aside to talked to me I figured I was in trouble, but to my surprise she told me Her and the other teachers noticed the work I was putting to better my grades and said I would be receiving honor roll at the next ceremony, I was so happy and so shocked I even asked her did she have the wrong person but she reassured that it was me . Later on I told my whole family and most importantly my mom they were happy to see me finally doing good and I was happy to be recognized for something good. Later on a cold Monday it was finally the award ceremony I had got there at 8:30 and it had just started they had award all the the kids k-8 so it took a long time to get to my grade, but when I finally got there I was partly anxious and nervous but I was ready to receive the award one by on they called they called awards they finally got honor roll and there only two people getting awards so I begin to brace myself toĀ  walk up on stage, they called the first name It wasn’t me I got really nervous because I thought I would go first but I was not completely sad because there was one more name to be called the principal said the name and it was my friend I instantly stormed away in hurt I was I finally thought I was being congratulated for my work but instead I was embarrassed, I ended up getting honor roll on the last quarter but this moment made me want to work harder so I never ever get counted out again.

The Last and most recent academic moment occurred through my whole High school career and my first year of college. In High school I struggled with algebra from the very start and it followed me for many years. Ninth grade year I had an algebra teacher name Ms. Wong she was a great teacher but lacked vital skills that would be detrimental to my math career in High school. Ms. Wong struggled to control and maintain the class and she really didn’t know methods in which to regain that control so she began to only attend to half of the class and only go over things once and even at one point she wouldn’t even teach and just give us assignments this and my horrible priors in math led to me failing the ninth grade algebra regents there this quote that say “We were empty bank accounts and it was our teacher’s responsibility to deposit facts” I agreed I feel like my teacher didn’t fulfill this responsibility . The failingĀ  of that regents led to a downward spiral where they would began demanding me to retake the algebra 1 regents without properly teaching me how to do algebra at one point I was failing so much I just stop showing up for the test because I knew the end result would be me failing. This behavior continued on for the rest of High school ultimately my senior I passed just enough so I can graduate. My algebra path followed me to my first year of college where I failed my entrance exam, This put me in a bad predicament whereĀ  either I was money on remedial classes or I attend math start and gain math proficiency I chose math start. This is where I gained new light I learned math from the bottom up again an it felt good to finally understand the work that was being put in front of me. Later I ended of retaking the exam and passing it with flying colors and I had a sense of relive that I was finally on the right track.

To conclude this story looking back I’ve faced many obstacles in my educational career some created by me and some I dealt to me but through all these experiences it helped shape me to become a much better student and person it also showed me characteristic I didn’t know I had in me like when I finally re learned algebra I never thought in a million years that would happen but it did.

Educational Story final draft

Education is the most important thing in a personā€™s life. Everyone needs to be nurtured and educated from an early age in order to become a better person. Because education can change a person, it can make a person better or worse, I will prove how education can make me better through three educational events I have experienced. Iā€™m going to share my previous educational story. They are divided into three parts, one thing about elementary school and two things about high school. These educations have benefited me a lot and benefited my whole life.

The first thing is when I was in elementary school, it was probably the fourth grade because Chinese elementary schools pay much attention to writing (one is the quality of what you write, and the other is the quality of your handwriting is not good or not). At that time, the quality always of my writing was not good also the handwriting is not good too, so the teacher gives me the school for pm school. Because I always canā€™t write well, the teacher slaps me, (very seriously, she slap me, but I forgot how many times, like a few times) when I finished pm school my father comes to pick me up to home ask me why my face was so red? I answer him because I feel so hot. Iā€™m scared to tell him what just happen. But from then on, I started to write very well because I was afraid of being beaten by the teacher.

The second thing is When I was a freshman in high school, I met a teacher who benefited my whole life. He was a middle-aged male teacher. He always gave students some good suggestions, he always developed a long-term plan, (like how to plan their own future How do colleges make new friends?) Since the first year of high school. He did train outstanding students one after another. Although sometimes the students (including me) feel that what he says is very verbose and annoying, after a period of time thinking about it, it will benefit a lot.

And the last thing is I remember when I was in the fourth year of high school when we finished choose a university, listening to the teacher said about the university, he said a word let me remember, he said, you now classmate sitting next to you may be your best friend in your life, Your college friends may not be as good as the high school friend than sitting next to you now. This sentence may not be what education words, but I learned to cherish the friends around me because they are really important, whether now, or in the future road, will support you, pull you, help you.

No matter how old a person is, people need to be educated and educated all the time, learning all the time, because no one is perfect, and nothing is born from the beginning to be perfect, only can learn how to be better. Only by learning from better people and better things and getting a good education can you become a better person, and then in the future, the people around them and their descendants can become better.

In conclusion, First, education can help a man of good conduct. When a kid is growing, he doesnā€™t know how to distinguish good or bad, so , he need to be taught by his parents or teachers to identify the right thing, Then he can be a good man and adjust himself to the modern society. Second, nowadays, the world is intellectual, people live in this world without knowledge will be very hard to survive. So, the education is very important, people have to learn academically knowledge to live a better life.

Education Narrative Final Draft

My Education Experence.

Education in school teaches us a lot of important stuff in our life. It introduces us to a lot of new people one of them might as be our best friend for life or it can lead you to a bad company. This can lead you to failure but education gives you your own choice to choose from. it also leads you to be a decision-maker during your education career there is a lot of ups and downs that you have to cope with which really get you ready for your adult life. I think education is very important in life like Malcolm x says “education is the passport to future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. The education gets you really ready for your future. Here Is my experience with education.

In my junior year, My U.S history teacher told us to pick a partner and you guys have to go to the museum of native Americans in Manhatten. I got really excited because I like to go places and also learn about different people’s history so I chose one of my middle school friends as my partner. Who was in my high school class we decided to go to that museum together early in the morning as we took the subway we started talking about our memories from middle school and also how well we are gonna do this project as we arrived at the measure we smelled the adventure we took out our cell phones to record videos and to take pictures and a notebook to take notes for our project we learned a lot of fantastic history of native Americans a lot of things amazed us about how they live and their contributions to the modern world we left after we made sure we have enough information for our project one thing we learned from them is life is not all about materialistic things as we were leaving we starting thinking about how we are gonna present this and also make it entertaining to the class at that point we were nervous because public speaking sometimes can get nerve-racking we had alot of questions in our head if the students gonna like because we thought they would not be get bored and will not pay attintence so we decided to make it funnier we were also concerned if the teacher would give us good grade how will she react next day we edited the videos and got ready to give a speech it was the day. we came to class and everyone was smiling at us and giving us a look that today is your tern guys. as the teacher called on us we got up we turned on our video and starting presenting without feeling nervous, we were really happy because all the students were laughing and engaged and they also gave us good feedback and also the teacher gave us good grades.

Another experience is during middle school. As I was new to new york and it was my first day in middle school I was very excited and at the same time nervous as I walked into class everything was going well and I liked it then the teacher told everyone to introduce themselves I was like ok that’s pretty good so as everyone started introducing themself and I was enjoying it, but then all of the sudden it’s was my turn so I got up and started speaking about my self and all of the sudden everyone started laughing because I pronounced something wrong so I got very nervous and the student starts making fun of me time to time According to “maybe I could save myself by writing” what I wanted and desperately need in those moments was a book to help me make sense of all my questions. Like the author felt lost I also felt lost so then I said to myself I have to improve my English, so I started going to my local library and started socializing with people as I liked. My teacher was really nice to she helped me improve my English she always checked up on me if I needed help every day she gave me some sentences to write that helped me improve my English and also she told me if your English is weak didn’t mean you are dumb she said you already on next lever by knowing two languages so let people tell you are not smart enough.

Education is taken very seriously in my family. Education is not only the way you learn. It is the way you talk deal with people and the way you act as my parents say. ordinary people with extraordinary vision can redeem the soul of America by getting into what I call good trouble this quote talks about how an ordinary person can become extraordinary. My parents always talk to me about how much education is important also, In my culture education is not taken for granted because a lot of people could not educate their children due to poverty. For me, education means a lot too because I will need it for my future if I wanna get a job or if I wanna start my business or in general. If I wanna know what is going around me. I don’t want to be left out. I believe that education is everywhere you don’t have to specifically go to school to get the education you can just read books, travel also from internet, etc there are many ways to educate yourself.

Another experience is from my high school. One day I was walking in the hallway to my next class in my high school. It was my final year in high school and I was excited to be a senior. While I was walking I saw my old friend from middle school. Who I remembered was hardworking and use to get good grades. I saw him hanging out with the wrong people and running into a lot of trouble. according to promised land, it says there are people in the world who think only about themselves they don’t care what happens to other people so long as they get what they want. They put other people down to make themselves feel better. There are people in the world who think only about themselves they don’t care what happens to other people so long as they get what they want. They put other people down to make themselves feel better. So the people he was hanging out with didn’t care about his school. I asked him about how were his classes going and was he good to graduate because I wanted all, my friends, to graduate together and enjoy that day together he replied that he is missing some credits and he is failing a lot of classes and he was cutting his classes. I felt really sad and told him that you really have to focus and watch who you hang out with. I told him to let’s meet up after school and do our homework together some days of the week so we started going to the library together and also I had a U.S history class with me which he was struggling with so I started tutoring him in that class and he started to focus and his grades really improved a lot but. He was still missing some credits so his counselor gave him a lot of online classes. Which he was stressed about and then the coronavirus started spreading. So the school was online now which helped him focus more and I also helped him by face timing him. He worked so hard and he passed all his classes but we were not able to celebrate our graduation as we wanted together but we did it online.

In conclusion, Education is very important because it teaches us a lot of important lessons in our life. Education means a lot to my family and it is very important to me. It taught me a lot of stuff in my life and I am still learning. Education is not just in school it is everywhere it is a part of you. Education is the way you act, speak, present yourself, and how to react to certain things and it is about helping others.
