Modern film depict tarantulas to be something you should fear, but there actually nothing to be scarred of. Tarantulas are currently the largest type of spiders in the world and thankfully are harmless to humans, with very weak poison and tarantula’s having to spend most of their lives in underground burrows. Tarantulas attain their food by waiting in the entrance of tunnels for their prey to come to them. The tarantula also has a very long lifespan with males living for 10 to 11 years old and dying after mating, and living up to 25+ years old. When it comes to mating male tarantulas leave their tunnels in search for females so that the female can eventually lay eggs for the new generation.
