School means to me my future. There are many career jobs you can find without a degree or certificate but that wasn’t the route I was willing to take and I’ve known this for sure this the fifth grade. I had a remarkable female, African American teacher, Ms. Caines, who convinced me that I could and will earn a degree later in my life. Ms. Caines was professional and lady like, yet, blunt. She taught valuable lessons to both the minority females and males in the classroom and gave us long term advice. I still haven’t connected with another teacher as much as I did with her. She differently made me think about school on another level even though I didn’t enjoy it.
