Author Portrait Editorial
For the author portrait I tried to use a soft front lighting set up.
For the editorial photo I used low lighting to create dramatic shadows.

first shoot second shoot
To improve upon my photo shoot I took away the metal props to focus on correcting the lighting for the glass bottle. For the second photograph I am using diffused back lighting with a flashlight in front to light the label.
ambient light diffused backlight
The photo on the left was only lit using ambient light and the photo on the right is strongly backlit.
