Your overhead shot is simple and clear.
Think about how you can simplify the composition of your three-quarter shot. Start by having a higher angle of view so that the cutting board fills the frame and there is no horizon.
Also, your shadows are very sharp. You need to diffuse the light itself more and also reflect some lihgt into those shadows to brighten them.
