For this exercise, I took some time to think of something that would give off a romantic feeling and I finally chose to photograph the keys on the piano. At first, I was trying to just focus on the keys itself but it didn’t seem to give a good shallow depth of field. Then, I thought that putting my hand in the frame, acting like I’m playing a song, and being the center of the photograph, would give off the desired feeling. I used Live Focus and tried multiple times to focus only on the hand and not the keys around.
Lovely interpretation of the theme. I also really like how the diagonals of the piano and the arms cross.
Live Focus is working for you here. the area in front of the hand the the area in back of the hand are noticeably soft.
