Perspective-the representation of a 3-dimensional space on a 2-dimensional surface by converging lines, diminishing scale and/or atmospheric perspective.

Use the urban geometry around you to shoot 10 photos that use perspective to create a strong sense of depth. Use both converging lines and diminishing scale. Use fences, gates, cross walks, the sidewalk and streets themselves to create perspective with converging lines. Use repeating objects like fence ornaments, leaves, tree trunks going away from you in space to create depth with diminishing scale. You can look up as well as forward. And you can look through fences and gates to create a frame within the frame.

Getting close to whatever is going to be in the foreground and using a wider focal length will add to the drama.

Be prepared to share your photos with your group.

Pick the best single shot taken by one of your classmates in your group and post to OpenLab with a short discussion of how perspective works in the photo.
