I chose this image that Gloria took to recreate because I enjoyed the mysterious and ominous quality. The texture of the lampshade really drew me in and the finger shadow outlines captured my attention. The photo initially made think of blood stains of fingers being dragged down a wall in a dramatic murder scene and her fingernails had me thinking of an aggressive animal like a bear or wolverine type but another thought I had when viewing this photo was of an extraterrestrial trying to contact.

    Lovely work. I am glad that you did not worry about the details like the exact lampshade and captured the general feeling of Gloria’s photo. I interpret both a little less dramatically. Probably influenced by Covid, I see the two photos about an attempt to connect through a barrier.
