Depth of Field

I used my airpods this morning. I focused on the airpods case in the first photo where it blurred the background of my laptop. In the second photo, I focused on my laptop in which it blurred the airpods. In the first photo it brings your eye and attention to the airpods and cuts the clarity of the background, focusing on the subject. In difference, the second photo cuts the clarity and makes your eyes pass the airpods and go towards the depths of the background of focusing on the laptop and its setting.
