The shutter speed began to make my shots a little more blurry because they were the shutter speed shot closer and closer to the first second of the frame. The ISO affected not only the graininess, but the brightness and bit of crispness to the shot.

You need to have more light to work with. I can see that in the morning there is not much light at this window. Try getting a clamp light from the hardware store. It will really help you with the rest of the semester.
