Are you preparing to register for any of these final COMD courses: COMD 4801 PORTFOLIO, COMD 4830 SENIOR PROJECT, and/or COMD 4900 INTERNSHIP?
You’ve probably hit a snag while registering, saying that you need department permission. Its TRUE!
You must consult with your COMD advisor to register for these classes. You can ONLY register for the section that fits your specialization.
(Yes, you need to speak to an advisor to get permission.)
Please note that when registering, you will see two sections per class. These are your Lecture (LEC) section AND your independent study (IND) or Fieldwork (FLD) section, which are required for the class and indicated as Hybrid.
Know which sections of Senior Project and Portfolio you need to register AND get permissions for. It’s based on the work you are looking to produce in each class.
ALL Portfolio courses are ONLY offered on Fridays.

Nathan Fox, (see below for bio) who founded the Riso LAB at SVA is coming to campus this Thursday! He’s going to give an artist talk in Prof. Neugeboren’s Character Design class that will start around 2:30 pm in P115 and hang out for the afternoon.

Nathan Fox is an illustrator and graphic novelist who is the co-creator and artist on: The Weatherman.
