Dear  Students,

We are writing to inform you that the Department of Communication Design has made the decision to formally retire the Communication Design Management Degrees (CDMG). It had become increasingly clear that maintaining the degrees, both associate and bachelors, are not in the best interest of CDMG students as so many of the classes have not been able to run due to decreasing enrollment. The degrees will remain in the college’s official catalog through next year. However, we will not be accepting new students into the program as of Spring 2018.  Our department’s advisers will be available to you during the Fall 2017 registration period of April 21st to 28th to work with you on planning a schedule that meets your academic objectives. Please go to the main office in Namm 1113 for the advisor schedule during Fall registration. Our department’s assistant will point you to the appropriate advisor available the day you come for Fall 2017 advisement.

We will also be offering information sessions in in the Fall to address questions you may have regarding the completion of your degree. Advisement materials for CDMG students will be distributed at these sessions. Please know that our department’s advisors are here to support each CDMG student in obtaining his/her degree in a timely manner. As we have in the past few semesters, CDMG students will be given permission to take COMD classes to complete their degree requirements and our advisors will assist you in choosing which COMD classes and CDMG elective (Marketing, etc. ) will best fit each student’s career goals.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the following Professors starting April 21st, with your particular questions:
