Scholarship – CMAA Metro NY/NJĀ
Ā The 2024 CMAA Metro NY/NJ Student Scholarship Application is now open. Applications are due no later thanĀ April 12, 2024; no late applications will be accepted. Student selected to receive a scholarship will be notified viaĀ emailĀ on or beforeĀ May 10, 2024.Ā

Scholarship – AGC NYS
The AGC NYSĀ Scholarship Committee is now accepting applications for their undergraduate, graduate and diesel technology programs.
Since 1998 the program has awarded 669 scholarships totaling over $1.6 million to students pursuing degrees in Construction or construction-related engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
In 2023 the scholarship committee awarded 31 scholarships worth a total of $81,500. We average 45 applications submissions per year. Thatās better than a 68% chance of an award. Awards range from $5000-$2500 each.

The Metropolitan Section of the ASCE is seeking candidates for $5,000 scholarships to be awarded to Active Student Chapter Members. Additionally, ASCE will be recognizing student members for their Service to the Community and Student Chapters. The awards will be presented at the April Scholarship Luncheon.

The Belle Zelle Scholarship program provides scholarships for CUNY students to continue in CUNY undergraduate, graduate, and professional school programs. Scholarship eligibility includes completing at least 16 credits at a CUNY college, with a 3.75 GPA or better, and having performed significant community service. Belle Zeller Scholars receive a scholarship in the amount of $5,000 a year. CUNY undergraduate students may receive the award for up to three years. Those attending the CUNY Graduate Center and Professional School will receive the award for one year, provided they continue to meet all criteria.

City Tech’s Department of Continuing Education offers this hands-on training class to prepare you for work as an in-house building super. Students will receive a certificate of completion as evidence of having met the educational requirements necessary to work as a competent building super. Register here
Additional courses offered through The CUNY ACE Upskilling Initiative at City Tech: select low cost free trainings to low-income CUNY degree and non-degree students, alumni, and the broader New York City population, creating inclusive career pathways to in-demand fields. Job placement assistance is available for graduates.
CySA+ Scholarship class Starts 2/7; Construction Project Management Starts 2/1

Calvin O. Walters, Jr., Construction Engineering Technology BTech expected class of 2025, is the recipient of a $7,500 scholarship from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) Metro NY/NJ Chapter! The scholarship was presented at a ceremony at the Yale Club in June. Calvin is the president of City Tech’s student chapter of CMAA. He is also a three-time participant in City Tech’s Emerging Scholars Program as an undergraduate researcher investigating the Living Breakwaters storm resilience project in Staten Island, NY. Calvin is currently employed by his father at CWJ Iron Works, where he works with high-pressure welding and fabrication, structural steel beams, hand rails, and high-pressure pipe welding.
SKANSKA CMCE Merit Scholarship
Thanks to a generous donation from SKANSKA USA CIVIL, the Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology Department at New York College of Technology will be accepting Merit Scholarship applications for the Spring 2022 semester. The value of this scholarship award is up to $2,000.

ā¢ Identifies as African American, Black or African Descent

NY metro area students inĀ fields related to brownfield redevelopment, such as environmental engineering, environmental or geosciences, geology or hydrogeology, environmental policy, environmental planning, environmental justice, environmental law, real estate, sustainable development, or industrial hygiene, can receiveĀ awards of up to $5000.

CMAA Scholarship
The Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) METRO NEW YORK/NEW JERSE CHAPTER is offering scholarships to qualified students to help them defray the costs of pursuing a degree in Construction Management or related-degree programs through the CMAA Metro NY/NJ Chapter 2022 Student Scholarship.
The application form and all its components are attached and due on April 22, 2022. CMAA will let the students know if they have won a scholarship award by May 13, 2022.
CIAP Summer Internship & Davis/Grosso Scholarship Program. This program provides money and employment opportunities in the construction industry for students completing their sophomore or junior year in a Baccalaureate Construction Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management or Civil Engineering program. Other engineering students may be eligible. APPLICATION DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 15, 2021. A personal interview will take place during November or December.
