WAC (Writing Across the Curriculum) is hosting a workshop for students on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, from 1:00-2:15 in Namm 1006. We will review and help students to understand the importance of the College’s Academic Integrity policy, provide strategies for ethical and effective paraphrasing, and discuss proper citation methods. We encourage you to bring your classes. Whether you can attend or not, please encourage your students to come. No RSVP required; all students, faculty, and staff are welcome.

The Hispanic Federation and The City University of New York are partnering to support incoming freshman, sophomore, and/or transfer students through the CREAR Futuros Peer Mentoring Program. The CREAR (College Readiness, Achievement and Retention) Futuros lens is focused specifically on actions that support college access, retention and graduation rates for Latino students and other students who are interested.This unique opportunity will provide special services and invitation to exciting events that only CREAR Futuros mentees are eligible for.

To assist CUNY students, faculty and staff who are impacted by President Trump’s executive order of January 27, 2017 limiting entry into the United States by individuals from seven countries: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, CUNY provides the following information.
Until further notice, we recommend that immigrant and non-immigrant students, faculty and staff from those seven countries avoid travel outside the United States. Though the Department of Homeland Security has announced that permanent residents from the seven countries will not be barred reentry, we think it prudent for permanent residents to avoid travel until the issues surrounding enforcement of the order are clarified.
