It’s crazy how much coffee soldiers consumed. But it’s fascinating how coffee was a soldier’s best bet to keep them going during the war. Food shortage was extremely low in the most desperate measures but coffee wasn’t. Coffee was never limited. Brewing coffee with mud water or any liquid had no meaning to them- they just had to have their fuel. Even brawls were erupted just for a sufficient amount of caffeine. In today’s world, coffee is still essential and just what starts my day off every morning.
One food I must have whenever I get home from school regardless is a turkey club sandwich.
