How do I put my resume on the OpenLab? You said something about “hosting my resume.”

• The best place for your resume is on an ePortfolio site.
• First, create an ePortfolio.
• Once you’re finished, you can begin working on your ePortfolio site.
• To add your resume to the site, upload it to the Resume page or to another page on your site.

How do I create a Portfolio or ePortfolio?

• Log in and click on My OpenLab in the main menu.
• From My OpenLab, click + Create Portfolio in the right-hand menu.
• Follow the rest of the instructions for creating an ePortfolio or Portfolio.

How do I find the link to my Portfolio?

• The link to your Portfolio is also called the URL.

• You can find it by going to your Portfolio site.  You’ll see the link at the top if the screen, in the location bar of your browser.

• Click in the location bar to highlight the URL or link, and you can copy and paste into an email or other document to give to others.

How do I include an image or video in my Portfolio?

• To include an image or video you you should be on your ePortfolio or Portfolio site.

• You can add images or video to a post or page on your site.

How do I change the menu at the top of my Portfolio site?

• Go the Dashboard of your Portfolio site.  You can create or edit your menu under Appearance > Menus.

How do I change the title of my Portfolio?

• You can change the title of your Portfolio Profile as well as the title of your Portfolio site.

• To change the Profile title, go to your Portfolio Profile and click Settings.  You can read instructions here.

• To change the site title, go to the Dashboard of your Portfolio site, then Settings > General.  Here you can change the title as well as the tagline.

How do I change the “About Me” text in the sidebar of my site?

• The “About Me” text is created by a widget called the “text widget.”

• To edit it, go to your site Dashboard, and go to Appearance > Widgets.

• You’ll see the text widget on the right-hand side of the page.  Expand the widget and edit the text.

• Click Save when you’re finished.

How do I make my Portfolio public or private?

• You can change your Portfolio privacy settings on the Settings page of the Portfolio Profile.

How do I find my students’ ePortfolios?

• If you have a Course on the OpenLab, it’s very easy to find your students’ ePortfolios. All members’ portfolios will be automatically listed on the right-hand side of the Course Profile.

• If you do not have a Course on the OpenLab, you could either create one, or, your students will need to send you the link to their ePortfolio.

• If an ePortfolio is private, you will need to become a member in order to view it.
