"Game On, Python!"

Game that I will create it’s going to be about a young kid who suffers because no one around him recognizes that he has dyslexia. Dyslexia, also known as reading disorder, is characterized by trouble with reading unrelated to problems with overall intelligence. My main purpose of this game is to tell the parents to let their kids study whatever they want and let them do it confidently. Mostly what happens nowadays is that the family decides what their kids should do but when it’s come to the kid they become overwhelmed.

SUMMARY: A young boy Cris who dislikes school and fails every test or exam. He finds all subjects difficult, and is belittled and berated by his teachers and classmates. But Cris’ internal world is rich with wonders that he is unable to convey to others, magical lands filled with color and animated animals. He is an artist whose talent is unrecognized. He doesn’t like math, science, or social study but he only likes art. He was a very talented artist who can explain every moment of his life in art. When he started getting zero in every class but 100% percent in art his parents started thinking that he became very lazy and didn’t want to study. His parents decided to sent him to boarding school. However, they didn’t know that he has dyslexia. His life is no different at the boarding school, oppressed and insulted by his teachers, he remains the laugh stock of the class. Now that he is away from home, he feels even more dejected, inferior and finds it tough to cope up with his inabilities. Malik gets appointed as a temporary art teacher of the boarding school. Unlike other teachers who follow definite norms in educating children, Malik makes them think out of books, outside the four walls of the classroom and paint their imaginations. Every child in class responds with immense enthusiasm except Cris. Malik takes effort to understand Cris and his problems. He makes Cris’ parents and other teachers realize that he is not abnormal but a very special child with talents of his own. With time, patience and care Malik succeeds in boosting the confidence level of Cris. He helps Cris in overcoming his inabilities and re-discover his lost confidence.

I feel like my story is too long for the game. It might be hard for me to create a python based on that story but at the sometime I am also worry about what will happen by joining both class because both classes are very different from each other. It will be hard to create python based on that story because I’m still learning about python. However, I’m also exited at the same time because we’re learning something new in our next unit.

I think you’re right about this being too much for a game, but don’t worry — what you’ve mostly got is backstory rather than a whole Aristotelian story. Think of the inciting incident, then some action, then a couple of choices, one of which will lead you on a completely different branch with a completely different ending. The whole game only needs to last 3-5 minutes, so it can be much more specific about one incident rather than a whole big epic story. Look at the Text Box Template on the Announcements page to help get a feel for how to set this up. But I have to say, I love your set-up; now we just need a real incident to talk about!
