During WWII, there lived a boy named Ross, in a small town of Virginia. He grew up in a family, where his father is a veteran, his mother, and his brother. When he and his brother grew up as an adult, his brother enlisted for the army without telling the family until it was the day before the leave. Unfortunately, that was the last time, they had seen him and never returned home from the battle. Ross’s father became abusive to his mother, and one night his father almost shot his mom until he came and stopped him by taking the gun and shooting the father, but he didn’t. Ross became religious, and his moral values impacted based on his religious beliefs. He wanted to save and help people but never hurt anyone, especially, from what he had seen from his father when he would be drunk. Ross was different, he wanted to have an education, and become a medic in the hospital, but he never got to have higher education. So, he decided to serve as a medic in the army, and so, he enlisted. His journey became a challenge for him as his values stand in the way that he will not take anyone’s life in the battle.

It is now your decision, to bring him to the path you think Ross has wanted, and for the reason why he enlisted, and be wise of the decisions, Ross’s beliefs are his greatest strength.

Act 1: Enlisting in the Army

As Ross’s big dream is to work as a medic in the hospital, to save lives and help people, he was limited due to the education he received. Although that didn’t stop him, he found another way to be a medic. By serving as a medic in the war that the country is going through.

Ross wants to serve in the military as a medic, should he consult with his family before enlisting.

a. Yes, he should consult with his family, because it is a big decision.

b. No, he doesn’t have to, he can understand what’s best for himself.

(If option (a) is chosen, then Ross tells his family about enlisting in the army as a medic, but sadly his family doesn’t support this decision 100%, since they do not want to lose him either just like his brother. But although they don’t want him to enlist, Ross already made his mind about enlisting in the army.

If option (b) is chosen, Ross doesn’t tell his family before enlisting for the army and decides to do it.

Both options lead to Ross enlisting for the army, no matter what.)

Ross has enlisted in the army to serve as a medic, but he vowed to never bear any arms/weapons to hurt or take another person’s life. It is only to save lives and help the people live.
