The digital world of gaming has been evolving ever seen it was created. Although, it was made for entertainment, but the way games were usually made at the beginning were very different than how they are now.  The gaming community, or the computer industry in general, do have a responsibility in society.  The world of gaming industry have evolved so much, that person, have play games in their lives that impacted them in many ways.  Some people would play video games to escape the reality, just for entertainment purpose, or play just cause they are bored. The growth of the gaming community, or the computer industry has created audience, especially young people who are always playing games, the main target audience, and gaming platforms have evolved into  mobile platforms, which makes it easier access gaming experiences. Gaming can be also considered as influential platform just like social media, where real people interact with each other, and have different experiences. These experiences can influence really young audience who still have a lot to learn about the real world, negatively and positively. Thus, developers who creates the content should make such content that bring diversity into games, which can help bring larger audience. But there needs to be borderlines of the contents that users are interacting with, because in video games, it can get toxic when there people who are playing the games are creating negative gaming influence on young people. And, by creating borderline, it can help people understand some real life situation that they can connect to which can impact the society, since the young people are the future. So, yes, the industry of gaming do have a responsibility in society. And, lastly, the actual responsibility in society that’s in the gaming community is the people who play it, its not game, the people are the influence that impacts the people and how they experience it.

The area that interests me most is ““Cultural Issues in Video Games Localization: Balancing Expectations Between the General Public and Core Gamers?”, because I think it would be interesting to see the difference between people who are core gamers and general public. In addition, core gamers have very different perspective than general public who play the games and what they like based on their gaming experiences.
