Lettering

Hello Cartoonists!

As you are planning your comics, it is vital that you begin to plan out lettering for your comics. Consider how much room the text will take up on the page as well as the actual style of the typeface, balloons and boxes.

Templates and Lettering Guides are helpful, and a ruler or t-square is a MUST for hand lettering.

One good option is to Print out your type and tape it gently to your rough sketches using artist’s tape to gauge the spacing and flow.

We will keep speaking about this in class. However, below are a few resources to get you started.
