Homework 12/5

For Unit 1 for the most part I fully comprehend the assignment and understood what I had to do. It wasn’t difficult to complete and I got a fairly good grade on it. I felt morbid about the fact I got an B on it when I should’ve gotten an A. What my classmates recommended me to do is to make all of my paragraphs flow because it sounded like I was jumping from one topic to another without there being a stream. My essay according to my piers was basically big puddles of water but no Channel/ Cannel to have the water flow. To enhance my essay for revisions I would strive to integrate their advice seamlessly. I would put it in my writing because it will make my writing  essentially better and I would move up a letter grade going from a B to an A. The teacher acknowledged that my essay is mostly complete; however there is a few areas where I can refine my craft and writing to achieve perfection. Unit 1 can be enhanced and can look better than it previously did when I first submitted it and the advice my classmates and teacher gave me can helpful in my endeavors.

Homework 12/5

In Unit 1’s assignment, I made many grammar mistakes, such as sentence fragments, and I believe that’s one of the issues I would fix during my revision. By correcting it, I would see where to place a period or add a different punctuation. Another mistake I made when my classmates pointed that out was creating a clear transition in the storyline; as we know, the setting is critical for the reader to gain context and understand what is happening. By addressing this, I would need to add a transition from school to my internship, either saying where I head after I finish school or perhaps removing it and starting a new paragraph with dialogue [this is based on my story].

Homework 12/5 – Brian Tenecela

When I decided to revise my unit 1 writing some of the things I kept in mind where the key points in the assignment. Reaching out to the intended audience and being able to relate to them in that manner as well as making the writing interesting for the audience to read and learn. There were also a several amount of grammatical errors and a few run on sentences that I was able to pick up on and some of which were pointed out by professor Annie. Thanks to her I was able to find the other mistakes and carefully fixed them and inclusively reread the sentences to make sure it was grammatically correct. I also found it very helpful to read over my writing again thoroughly to catch any mistakes and to overall just make sure it was ready to finally re-submit for a chance of a higher grade.
