-I would like to publish an event proposal on I Love Ny

https://www.iloveny.com/   This website promotes all upcoming events that are occurring all over New York. It provides a wide variety of events that are categorized by interest, ranging from food to try, places to stay, festivals, museums, art, history, and nature.  The targeted audience are New Yorkers. It includes a solo category with places in New York to narrow down events to the area of your choice.  This category consists of attractions in mountains, the city, long island, and lakes. In addition the pieces that are published  are usually around 300 words with only the summarization of what the event will consist of. The rundown of the event taking place is in a very casual tone. Since this is a promoting website for families or just people looking for something fun to do. Each posts provides a cover picture that gives an insight on what the event will be. On the cover of every event the date and location is stated and in the description the time and amenities such as; food, drinks, shops, and activities,  are listed. I think this is a good way to reach my audience of New Yorkers since this is a popular site for all events. However I do feel there might be a better way to promote it to the homeless.

I would want to teach my audience of residents in New York, recent decisions that the mayor or any representatives are making towards homeless. Since this impacts their environment, as well as teach them what aids are available for anyone that needs them. Being knowledgeable of your surroundings and opportunities can also spread awareness to anyone that is being evicted. The main goal would be to catch the attention of the homeless and show them what aid is available. Especially help direct them in any way they need, whether it is help with disabilities, health care, drug abuse, therapy. I feel the best genre to show as many people as possible about information on homelessness would be a public interactive event. Similar to a festival with several different stands outside, with encouraging people there to spread information. Advocates on health care, housing, therapy, all in a row promoting their services. With flyers and ads all over the city to promote the event and ensure that people are aware of the event happening. My first step would be to start to plan this event. My only concern as of right now is the proposal, since I have no experience in this field.

So far I feel like my RAB project is moving along nicely. I do intend to go back and reread every entry to ensure I meet all the guidelines of the rubric. I am most proud of my second entry and of the sources I have chosen, since I feel they provide lengthy information. My only concerns are with my introduction and conclusion.
