So what happens to you going into the afterlife? My understanding towards this is , just thinking and reading about people’s experiences and what they vividly see going into the the first stages of afterlife are very interesting. I do feel like going through that dark tunnel phase when you suddenly are about to die in the real world is a detail you have to account for. This also surprised me because everyone that had near death experience’s were for the most part taken through dark tunnels with a bright light as well. Every age group which goes from kids to, adults, and the elderly people should know about what happens going into the after life, since we will all be there eventually.  I do feel as well that for all the targeted audiences towards my writing , they will take going into the afterlife as a good thing since from what people have expressed all they felt was, being happy and finding peace in a matter of minutes. It was important for me to learn about the afterlife because ever since a young boy I actually was very into this topic since there are plenty of question marks and theory’s on this topic. You can literally make your own theory on the afterlife and still no one can tell you , that you are wrong or right. It’s a topic where, you can’t have pure concrete evidence on, but what I can say is I would never tell someone who has had a near death experience , they are lying about what they saw.

In this article we find out what religions believe happen to you and your soul when you die. Every religion stated in the article all have similarities which would be us going into the afterlife and believing that one does exist. On the other hand most religions have their own way of believing the process of your soul goes through different phases before reaching paradise or what some may call it “hellfire”. A couple of religions I’d like to name out that have different perspectives on where the soul goes and what happens when you die include, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Judaism.  Christians believe in heaven and hell , with the fact that you as a christian have to except Jesus as your savior. Islam are very similar but they also believe in judgment day, where the day will come when everyone is separately judged on their actions determining where they will go in the afterlife.  I could go on and on explaining the rest of their beliefs but like all beliefs they all believe in a theory of an eternal resting place. Another theory is reincarnation , where souls return to the earthly realm in a new physical form. Reincarnation is deeply rooted in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. There are many scientific theories on what happens to your soul but the conservation of energy principle states cannot be created or destroyed, only converted from one form to another. So if our soul is considered a form of energy its possible to believe that it may undergo some transformation after we die.Another theory being quantum entanglement suggests a deep link between consciousness and the universe at a quantum level. With that being said soul immortality is a topic where many beliefs deeply believe in .

Overall this article explains how different religions share similarities on what happens to your soul when you die , including the fact that it’s yourself , the person you are today on what may come when you are about to die. Me personally , I am Catholic and I believe in the fact that there is a heaven and hell. So I can certainly see why all these religions teach and guide their people to believe in what they preach for. Something I actually never knew is that many religions do believe in the same thing but they just go about it a little differently. One thing I can say is i’ve heard the term “Judgment Day” a lot of times which I find interesting. Where at the end of your physical form’s body your soul which is you as a person, will be judged on what deeds you have done on earth , good and bad. Seeing which out weighs which. I would say and make an educated guess that your soul , you as what you were on earth, will be judged by a higher god like person and that he or she decides where you get placed in the afterlife. Either heaven or hell. We will never have pure concrete evidence on, if afterlife is real or not but I do like the fact that this article explained some scientific theory’s on what can happen to us moving on. Like the conservation of energy principle. Where if our soul is considered a form of energy than its possible to believe we may undergo transformation or even too transcendent. I’ve seen a lot of Tv shows and movies where they have shown people souls going to a higher place and being judged by a higher god which I find interesting. Like the show ” The 100″. Last episode of the series, shows how all the transcendent Theory all works which you can watch at any time yourself. I thought this show and the conservation of energy principle had similarities on what they are trying to say on how our souls have energy. I do find more reason now , that our souls may very much be a source of energy but I would never say that I am certain on it since there is no concrete evidence on it. Afterlife and the way your soul is so called”Immortal” will always be a myth or a belief. But none of us will truly know until it is our time to head to the “afterlife”.

Source 2 : Ben Brumfield CNN, ‘Afterlife’ feels ‘even more real than real,’ Researcher say , April 10 2013 https://www.cnn.com/2013/04/09/health/belgium-near-death-experiences/index.html

Many people have near death experiences but only a few can tell you what really happens to you when you die. This can be a horrifying thing or it can be a happy and pleasant feeling according to Raymond. Raymond and Nadine , two regular humans like us that are from Belgium, have had heart attacks. Oxygen from their brain had been cut off and they both experienced out of body sensations. Just like many reports on other survivors , they had both been in dark tunnels being able to see a bright source of light ahead. It felt as they were going at a speed you couldn’t even imagine . Specifically Nadine saw her self out of her body , like her soul being ripped apart from her body.  She had thoughts in her head while this happened thinking, will I ever get back to my body. Back to Raymond, he felt very afraid but he let go and realized there’s no point in struggling. Dr. Steven Laurey states many people actually go through this but patients are very much afraid of opening up and telling their stories. The data shows us that near death experiences reveal to be more vivid than any other memory you have had. Dr . Laurey’s and his team studied people with NDE’s {Near Death Experience’s} and coma patients with the help of psychological examination.Memories in real life events are more intense than dreams or thoughts. To their surprise NDE’s were much richer than any imagined event or any real life event , compared to the coma patients.

I think it’s safe to say when people have near death experiences some, not many get a taste or a glimpse of what the afterlife can look like or at least the beginning process of what the afterlife is. I do find it interesting that when people are on the brink of dying they tend to be in some type of tunnel that travels , what people mostly say, the speed of light. Also being able to hear comforting voices is another weird detail to keep mind. Many near death experiences include voices telling you to let go , and saying welcome home and etc. I wonder , Is it a voice of someone you truly love and trust? Or maybe A Angel in the sky leading you to your whats so called “Home”.  A couple of points to be aware of as well is when  Nadine explained how she left her body and she seemed to just be hovering over herself. This seems to be that there may very well be a chance that our soul’s detach from our body’s leading us to the afterlife. You can argue that we may very well have immortal soul’s as well. Being able to not run test on people that have NDE’s in that moment of time when they are about to die obviously doesn’t help the case on if after life is real. It would be very un human like to run test’s on NDE patient’s because that isn’t professional. I do like the idea though on running tests comparing NDE’s with coma patient survivor’s. They do this to tell which group of survivors have better memory of what had happened to them. The NDE’s group came out on top showing they have had better memory on what had happened when they were unconscious . This study can lead to a greater explanation on the afterlife. To be more specific, What is it like heading to the afterlife?

Quotes:

-“To our surprise, NDEs were much richer than any imagined event or any real event of these coma survivors,” Laureys reported. The memories of these experiences beat all other memories, hands down, for their vivid sense of reality. “The difference was so vast,” he said with a sense of astonishment.”

-“After being close to death, some people will report having had an out-of-body experience, having seen a bright light or being passed through a tunnel; all well-known elements of the famous Near-Death Experience,” according to the study by Laureys and his team of six scientists.

-“I felt as if I were sucked out of my body at one point,” said Raymond. “I was going through a completely black tunnel, very, very quickly, a speed you cannot express, because you just don’t experience it.”

-“People who go on these fantastic journeys are often forever changed. Many seem to come back happier and no longer fear death, he said. The experience becomes a cornerstone of their lives”.
