Homework 12/7

Considering the helpful and high feedback of the RAB (unit 2) from the professor, I would target the MLA citation format error, the missing summary, and the analysis to correct and add. With the feedback from my peers provided, I would add more context as to why I am writing this piece, making it clearer but also making it sound more relevant to the topic. As far as grammar, I would also fix those minor errors. However, I’m looking at the main areas that affected my grade.

Homework 12/5

In Unit 1’s assignment, I made many grammar mistakes, such as sentence fragments, and I believe that’s one of the issues I would fix during my revision. By correcting it, I would see where to place a period or add a different punctuation. Another mistake I made when my classmates pointed that out was creating a clear transition in the storyline; as we know, the setting is critical for the reader to gain context and understand what is happening. By addressing this, I would need to add a transition from school to my internship, either saying where I head after I finish school or perhaps removing it and starting a new paragraph with dialogue [this is based on my story].

Annoyance-Free Paragraph 11/14 (classwork writing)

The idea of having a socialist government in the US sparks controversy among residents. Research conducted by the Pew Research Center collected that “55% of Americans had a negative impression of “socialism,” while 42% expressed a positive view. About two-thirds (65%) said they had a positive view of “capitalism,” and a third viewed it negatively.” Americans who view it negatively might make connections where socialism didn’t work. However, those opposed to the negative viewers might feel like giving socialism a second chance might work. With this research, we can acknowledge that the majority of Americans disagree with the idea of having a socialist government.
