• The platform I would like to publish in would be Love to Know (https://www.lovetoknow.com/)
  • Love to Know has a variety of topics that they discuss on their page like food and lifestyle, but overall it’s like a lifestyle kind of platform
  • I would say their audience is for adults. young adults, and parents due to the fact that they have more lifestyle topics that would pertain to an older audience. They also have a whole category about parenting on their page that would indicate that parents are a big audience.
  • Their blog posts aren’t that long they usually bullet point some of their information and keep it short and simple
  • They have a welcoming and friendly tone to their articles. It makes it seem as if they are actually willing to provide advice rather than judge your situation. This way it encourages the reader to look forward to reading their pieces.
  • They use informative diction as well as casual. They make it sort of conversational and engaging by asking questions so that the reader can reflect on what they’ve read.
  • Some of the posts use articles that may support their claims and they usually just name the article and embed a link into the word so that you click on it and it takes you to the article. They don’t normally use MLA format when they cite their evidence.
  • The text and platform itself don’t use much color besides the pictures that they use as covers for their posts. Although it may sound boring in a way this makes it have a uniform look and it doesn’t take away from the actual advice and information that is being provided.
  • I feel as though it would be a good place to reach my audience because I want to be able to reach parents who deal with kids struggling in their own faith and religious beliefs. I saw a publication similar to my topic but it didn’t really discuss many of the things I was discussing about therefore I think it would be a good way to provide a different perspective in that area.
