COVID-19 had a significant impact on college students’ performance following the switch to the online learning environment. After taking a closer in-depth analysis of the research resources used it can be concluded that there indeed has been a significant impact on the college students’ performance surprisingly more negative than positive. Furthermore, the research conducted was of great importance especially those who are currently students or in the learning environment. A lot of the research showed many negative outcomes such as complications with time, lack of a support system, family inconveniences, income struggles, etc. College students faced a lot of problems during the pandemic. However, this research also helps bring to mind all of the endless possibilities to prevent these problems from reoccurring if any other pandemic were to arise. Methods and plans of action in the journal source by author Alyssa alleviate and bring to light a solution to a future pandemic encounter. The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world unexpectedly hard changing the lives of many people due to the never-ending inconveniences but through the research conducted, may people become more aware of what our students have faced and be better prepared for any future pandemics that may come our way.
